From the pre departure class, I learned a lot. each week, I
had to try to keep up with current events to understand discussions in class. I
downloaded the NY Times app on my phone and was upset to see how often bad
things were occurring. I’ve always avoided the news because of how upset it
makes me. however I've come to realize denying the bad doesn't stop things from
occurring. I also realized despite how excited I was to finally study abroad,
how scared I was. however I think after spending this time home, I'm ready for
my next adventure!
